Connections
DSL Setup
All that is
needed to configure Connections DSL is the TCP/IP of your Ethernet
Card. To do so, obtain your IP infomation from Sonnek and find your
operating system below.
Configuring
Network Cards for Win95/98/ME
1. Click on
Start ' Settings ' Control Pannel ' Network
2. Find the
TCP/IP of the Network Card and select it by clicking once on it
3. Click the
Properties button
4. Under the
IP Address tab it should be set to Specify IP Address
5. Enter in
your IP address.
6. For the Subnet,
enter in 255.255.255.0
7. Under the
Gateway tab, enter in 207.195.210.254
8. Under the
DNS tab, choose specify DNS.
9. Enter in
your username in the account spot.
10. Enter in
soncom.com for the domain.
11. Enter in
207.195.208.1 for the Primary DNS.
12. Enter in
207.195.208.2 for the secondary DNS.
13. Hit Ok
14. Hit Ok
15. Say Yes
to restarting the computer
16. Once computer
boots back up connection should work
Windows NT4
1. Click on Start ' Settings ' Control Panel
2. Once you
are in Control Panel double click on the Network icon
3. Select the
Protocols tab
4. Single Click
on TCP/IP
5. Click the
Properties button
6. Under the
IP Address tab make sure the following is set
A. Make sure the adapter is set to be your network card
B. Select SPecify IP Address and enter in your IP address
C. For the Subnet, enter in 255.255.255.0
7. Under the
Gateway tab, enter in 207.195.210.254
8. Under the
DNS tab, choose specify DNS.
9. Enter in
your username in the account spot.
10. Enter in
soncom.com for the domain.
11. Enter in
207.195.208.1 for the Primary DNS.
12. Enter in
207.195.208.2 for the secondary DNS.
13. Click OK
14. Click OK
15. Restart
your computer
Windows 2000
1. Right Click
on the My Network Places icon located on your desktop and select
Properties
2. Double click
on the Local Area Network icon
3. Click the
Properties button
4. Double click
on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
5. Select Use
the following IP address and enter in your IP address
6. For the Subnet
mask, enter in 255.255.255.0
7. For the default
gateway, enter in 207.195.210.254
8. For the Preferred
DNS server, enter in 207.195.208.1
9. For the Alternate
DNS server, enter in 207.195.208.2
10. Click OK
11. Click Ok
12. Click Close
13.Restart your
computer
Windows XP
1. Right Click
on the My Network Places icon located on your desktop and select
Properties
2. Click on
the link that says Create New Connection
3. Click Next
4. Choose Connect
to the Internet and click Next
5. Choose Set
up my connection manually and click Next
6. Choose Connect
using a Broadband connection that is always on and click next
7. Enter in
Sonnek for the name and click Next
8. Click Finish
9. Right Click
on the Sonnek Connection icon and go to Properties
4. Double click
on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
5. Select Use
the following IP address and enter in your IP address
6. For the Subnet
mask, enter in 255.255.255.0
7. For the default
gateway, enter in 207.195.210.254
8. For the Preferred
DNS server, enter in 207.195.208.1
9. For the Alternate
DNS server, enter in 207.195.208.2
10. Click OK
11. Click Ok
12. Click Close
13.Restart your
computer
Mac OS 8 and Up
1. Click on
the Apple Menu
2. Select Control
Panels
3. Select TCP/IP
4. In the TCP/IP
window Select Ethernet in the Connect Via area
5. Select Specify
IP address and enter in your IP address.
6. For the Subnet
mask, enter in 255.255.255.0
7. For the default
gateway, enter in 207.195.210.254
8. Frot eh Preferred
DNS server, enter in 207.195.208.1
9. For the Alternate
DNS server, enter in 207.195.208.2
10. Close the
window
11. Click the
Save button
12. Select Restart
on the Special Menu to restart your computer
